We are Jason and Angela White, a husband-and-wife team from a small town in Ohio with a deep-rooted passion for supporting veterans and their families. Our journey together began in childhood, but life’s path led us through trials that shaped our mission and purpose.
Jason is a U.S. Army veteran who served honorably during Desert Storm/Desert Shield. Like many, he came home changed. Today, he lives with 100% service-connected disabilities due to PTSD and TBI. The battles he faces are no longer on the battlefield—but within. Every day brings new challenges, not just for him, but for us as a family. We’ve learned that the mental struggles of veterans ripple out and impact loved ones in profound ways.
I, Angela, am the daughter of a Vietnam Navy veteran. As Jason’s wife and primary caregiver, I have stood beside him through the highs and lows. Together, we’ve found strength in love, faith, and community. Our daughter and granddaughter bring light to our lives, and they remind us why we keep pushing forward.
Through our lived experience, we’ve come to understand how vital a support system is—and how devastating it can be when one is absent. Too many veterans face these battles alone, with no one to lean on. That loneliness often leads to despair, and far too often, to suicide.
The reality is heartbreaking:
on average, 22 veterans take their own lives each day.
That’s why we founded Riding 22 in 22 VSA—a nonprofit dedicated to raising awareness about veteran suicide and providing peer support, resources, and connection for both veterans and their caregivers. We ride for those who feel they can’t go on. We ride to bring light into the darkness.
We ride to remind others:
You are not alone.
Beware demons… We fight back!
