In 2025, Riding 22 in 22 set out on our “22 States in 22 Days” ride, a journey that is about so much more than the miles covered. Along the route, we engaged with communities, listened to the stories of veterans, and stood alongside families who have endured the heartbreaking loss of a loved one to suicide. Every stop was a reminder of why we ride to raise awareness, to honor the struggles and sacrifices of our heroes, and to shine a light of hope where it’s needed most.
The 2025 ride brought together strangers who quickly became friends, and friends who became family. Together, we supported each other, shared laughter and tears, and created lasting memories. At its core, the ride is about giving back reminding veterans and their caregivers that they are not forgotten, that their struggles matter, and that they never have to walk their path alone. Riding 22 in 22 is more than rides and events; it’s a mission of compassion, connection, and unwavering support for those who have served.

Riding 22 in 22 VSA is proud to give 7 deserving veterans the opportunity to join us for a portion of our annual 22 States in 22 Days ride!
Each selected veteran will have lodging and gas paid for by Riding 22 in 22 VSA for three days/states of the ride, based on the route category for which they are selected.
This is more than just a motorcycle ride. It is an opportunity to travel, meet fellow veterans and supporters, visit veterans memorials and roadside attractions, attend community events, and experience the camaraderie and support that makes Riding 22 in 22 VSA so special.
Who Can Nominate a Veteran?
Anyone may nominate a deserving veteran! You may nominate a family member, friend, neighbor, coworker, fellow veteran, or another veteran whose story you believe deserves to be recognized.

Please take the time to tell us their story! We want to know about the veteran, their service, their sacrifices, their impact on others, or simply why you believe this experience would be meaningful to them.

Each nomination must include the select one of the following route categories:
1. Ohio • Kentucky • Tennessee
2. Arkansas • Oklahoma • Texas
3. New Mexico • Colorado • Arizona • Utah
Please note: We will travel through Arizona but will not spend the night in Arizona.
4. Nevada • California
California will consist of two days and two hotel stays.
5. Oregon • Washington • Idaho
6. Montana • Wyoming • South Dakota
7. Nebraska • Iowa • Illinois or Indiana
Veteran Eligibility & Proof of Service
Selected veterans will be required to provide acceptable proof of military service before receiving the award.
Acceptable proof includes:
A valid Military ID; or
DD Form 214 showing an Honorable Discharge
Failure to provide acceptable proof of service may result in the veteran becoming ineligible for the award.
What Riding 22 in 22 VSA Will Cover
For each of the 7 selected veterans, Riding 22 in 22 VSA will cover the approved costs of:
Lodging for the designated three-day portion of the ride
Gas for the designated three-day portion of the ride
Riding 22 in 22 VSA will make payments directly to the hotel, lodging provider, gas station, or other approved vendor whenever applicable.
No cash payments or reimbursements will be made directly to the selected veteran unless specifically authorized in advance by Riding 22 in 22 VSA.
The award has no cash value and may not be redeemed for cash.
Want to Ride More Than Three States? We Hope You Do!
Although Riding 22 in 22 VSA will only cover the approved lodging and gas expenses for the selected portion of the ride, every winner is invited and encouraged to join us for as much of the entire 22-state journey as they would like!
Ride with us for three states, five states, ten states—or come along for all 22 states in 22 days!
Any lodging, gas, meals, transportation, or other expenses outside of the portion specifically covered by the award will be the responsibility of the veteran.
And remember: everyone is welcome to join the ride! You do not have to be one of the seven selected veterans to participate. Join us for a gas stop, a day, a state, several states, or the entire 22-state journey!
Important Terms, Rules & Conditions
Seven veterans will be selected, with one veteran selected for each designated route category.
Each nomination must include all required nominator and veteran information and an explanation of 500 words or less.
Selected veterans must provide acceptable proof of military service before receiving the award.
The award covers only the lodging and gas expenses approved by Riding 22 in 22 VSA for the veteran's designated portion of the ride.
Riding 22 in 22 VSA will pay approved expenses directly to the hotel, gas station, or other approved vendor and not provide the value of the award as a cash payment to the veteran.
The award has no cash value.
The award cannot be sold, exchanged, transferred, assigned, or given to another person. If a selected veteran is unable or unwilling to participate, Riding 22 in 22 VSA reserves the right to select another veteran.
Any expenses beyond those specifically approved and covered by Riding 22 in 22 VSA are the responsibility of the selected veteran.
Selected veterans are responsible for any personal expenses associated with participating in the ride that are not specifically listed as covered expenses.
Participation in additional states beyond the veteran's awarded portion is welcomed and encouraged; however, Riding 22 in 22 VSA will only cover lodging and gas for the designated award portion of the ride.
Submission of a nomination does not guarantee selection.
Riding 22 in 22 VSA reserves the right to verify nomination information and veteran eligibility before finalizing an award.

The names of the 7 selected veterans will be announced March 21st, 2027 during a Riding 22 in 22 VSA LIVE STREAM!
Following the live announcement, selected veterans will also be contacted directly by phone and email using the contact information provided with their nomination.
Please make sure all contact information submitted with the nomination is accurate and current.
Veteran must accept or decline the award by April 4th, 2027 or award will be offered to the runner up.

2027 Route
Last year, our journey to ride through 22 States in 22 Days carried us across the Midwest. The number “22” holds deep meaning it represents the estimated 22 veterans who lose their battle to suicide every single day. Our mission is to shine a light on this tragedy, raise awareness, and provide the resources veterans and their caregivers need to fight their mental battles and win.
In 2026, we’re taking this ride to the next level. Our route will expand through the beautiful East Coast states and beyond, making more stops, meeting more communities, and spreading hope even further. At each destination, we’ll join forces with local businesses, organizations, and motorcycle clubs to raise awareness and vital funds that allow us to continue supporting those who sacrificed so much for us all.
